Jose Pete Font and Deniz Cankaya (Broward/Ft. Lauderdale, FL) (Automobile Liability/PIP) obtained a dismissal in a case for State Farm. Plaintiff was a chiropractic clinic, who per an assignment of benefits sought PIP benefits from State Farm in relation to a course of care that they allegedly provided to State Farm’s insured and her five year old daughter. Treatment for both patients continued for a period of months, included hundreds of service charges and a resulting bill for both patients that exceeded $20,000.
Trial was short lived. After a detailed and compelling opening statement by Mr. Font, Plaintiff agreed to voluntarily dismiss both claims with prejudice.
