This growing division in St. Petersburg handles a multi-faceted caseload consisting of civil litigation in the areas of insurance defense, such as general liability, bodily injury, slip and fall, first and third-party property, windshield litigation, and construction defect.

Duties:
- Compile, analyze, and organize information.
- Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney.
- Organize and track files from case documents and make them available and easily accessible to attorneys.
- Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; forwarding summonses and subpoenas; filing discovery requests.
- Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact, communicating case progress.
- Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers.
- Track hours and bill to clients.
- Enhances trial proceedings by organizing evidence; organizing exhibits; scheduling.
Preferred Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a law firm setting
- Insurance defense and/or personal injury experience is a plus.
Needed Skills & abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft office software; working knowledge of database systems
- Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, oversee multiple on-going projects and work independently
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels with a professional demeanor
- Effectively work as a team member of the Legal Department
- Proficiency in written & verbal English
