John was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas and received his Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Political Science from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
John received his Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law where he was a member of the Maritime Law Bulletin, James L. Petigru American Inn of Court, and served as President of the International Law Society and Treasurer of the Business Law Society. Following law school, John received his Master of Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the College of Charleston.
Ever since he was young, he always put others before himself. Whether through being a captain on his soccer or tennis teams, to being a youth summer camp counselor while in high school, John’s innate ability to recognize and understand that there are multiple solutions to a problem led him to where he is today.
John manages and defends cases through all stages of the workers’ compensation process, from initial determination of compensability through settlement. He also handles auto liability, general liability, and construction related cases.
John’s goal as a defense attorney is to provide consistent, concise and thorough legal representation to his clients, through strategy and critical thinking in order to meet clients’ different objectives in workers’ compensation claims.
John and his wife reside in Charleston with their six-year-old Labrador mix, Grizzly. On the weekends, John enjoys watching the Kansas City Chiefs, his TCU Horned Frogs, and continues to support his lifelong fandom of the Kansas Jayhawks, even in football season. He enjoys spending time on the golf course, tennis courts and the surrounding beaches with his wife and their dog, Grizzly.
