Originally from Alabama, Alec Young first attended Jacksonville State University graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Not one to slow to down, Alec next found himself in Virgnia at the College of William & Mary where he attended the William & Mary Law School and the College of William & Mary Raymond A. Mason School of Business. After graduating from their joint degree program with a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Business Administration, and prior to beginning his legal career, he earned accolades on the William & Mary Law School Moot Court Team earning best oralist and best written brief awards at competition before joining the ranks of the Order of the Barristers upon graduation.
Alec was drawn to the practice of law because of its ever-evolving nature. Legal realities may change as quickly as fortunes, making the practice of law as challenging as it is rewarding. Allowing practitioners to wake up each morning and learn something new is an attitude Alec takes to his ligation practice as an accomplished oral advocate. Alec takes a practical focus learned in business school towards client representation allowing him to understand clients’ legal realities in litigation and how that litigation will affect his clients’ underlying bottom line outside of it. Outside of the office, Alec is an avid reader whose hobbies include running and relaxing with a good book.
