Albert is originally from Cuba but has lived in Canada since the age of nine years old. After earning his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta, he attended law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. While at Chicago-Kent, Albert specialized in intellectual property law and was a member of the IP Law Society.
Albert volunteered for various legal clinics while in law school, including clinics for employee benefit claims, immigration claims, and patent applications. Since that time, Albert has worked exclusively in the field of insurance defense. Prior to joining Vernis & Bowling, Albert worked as a law clerk for Kemper, Inc.
Albert enjoys being a dedicated counsel to clients. He always aims to be detail-oriented and to offer effective solutions that fit the needs of every client. Outside of work, Albert enjoys cooking, working out, and spending time with family.
