Vernis & Bowling, a fast-paced and rapidly growing insurance defense firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our defense team. We are looking for a proactive professional who thrives under pressure and can independently manage a busy desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft legal correspondence and pleadings, including motions, subpoenas, and notices.
- Manage state and federal e-filing, as well as the review and receipt of e-service and US mail.
- Coordinate scheduling, manage the attorney calendar, and track critical court deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic document management systems.
- Prepare hearing exhibits, assemble hearing binders, and provide comprehensive trial preparation support.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience.
- Specialization: Direct experience in E&O/D&O, General Liability, Construction Defect, or Commercial Liability is strictly required.
- Procedural Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Professional Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills.
- Communication: Excellent written communication, grammar, and proofreading abilities.
